2017 Grand Calumet River Area of Concern Seminar

IDEM and the Citizens Advisory for the Remediation of the Environment (CARE) Committee are pleased to announce the 2017 Annual Grand Calumet River Area of Concern (AOC) Seminar. In honor of the 30th Anniversary of the designation of the region as an AOC, this year’s theme was selected as “The Grand Calumet River AOC: Past, Present, and Future.”

The all-day seminar, which is free to the public, will feature presentations by federal, state, and local partners in the restoration effort. One of this year’s highlights will be a panel discussion with several of the original members of the CARE Committee. In addition to the panel discussion, members of the public will have an opportunity to provide input to, and ask questions of, officials involved with the restoration efforts.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to become involved with the Grand Calumet River AOC! Seats are limited, so be sure to register today.
