The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) provides internet access to agency public records through the Virtual File Cabinet (VFC). The scanning of records continues daily and IDEM makes every attempt to maintain current and accurate information in this electronic document repository.
IDEM’s VFC is accessible on-line, 24 hours per day/7 days a week. The VFC has more than 2 million documents, with more added daily. The VFC currently contains records for, but not limited to:
If you should need to view records, have records copied, or have problems locating documents in the VFC, please make a records request using the IDEM Request for a Public Record (State Form 55542, available on the IDEM Forms page). A request may be submitted via e-mail, facsimile, U.S. mail, or in person.
