Office of Records Management (ORM)

The ORM is responsible for managing and maintaining the agency’s physical and virtual files in addition to responding to public record requests made to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). IDEM maintains the Virtual File Cabinet (VFC) to provide enhanced access to public records. The VFC is an online repository for a vast amount of the agency’s public records.

If you should need to view agency public records, have public records copied, or have problems locating public records in the VFC, please submit a public record request using IDEM’s Request For Public Record (State Form 55542, available on the IDEM Forms page) form. A public record request may be submitted via e-mail, U.S. mail, or in person.
