Vulnerability Assessments and Emergency Response Planning
Vulnerability assessments need to be conducted and emergency response plans need to be created to examine what will happen to wastewater or water systems in case of an emergency.
Planning Assistance
The Rural Community Assistance Program and the Alliance of Rural Water can assist communities in completing vulnerability assessments at no cost to the community. In addition, they can help the district to formulate and construct an emergency response plan.
These plans should be kept in places that can be accessed by qualified personnel in case of an emergency.
