IDEM, in conjunction with local air agencies and forecasters from surrounding states, conduct air quality forecasting by analyzing various types of data.  Since many factors, such as wildfires, tropical storms, as well as weather, affect air quality development and transport; many different types of information are reviewed.  The following links, which all leave IDEM's site, provide information on weather data and events that may impact air quality in order to accurately forecast air quality throughout the state.  The data is analyzed daily in order to keep air quality forecasts current.
