2007 Data

The Office of Air Quality has reviewed the PM2.5 data 2007 and determined that two events occurred which would qualify as "exceptional events". The data during those time periods have been flagged in AQS (the national air quality database) by Indiana.

The proposal will be made available for thirty (30) days for public review and comment. The commenting procedures are included in both proposals. Comments regarding these exceptional events requests must be received by July 7, 2008. The request will then be submitted to U.S. EPA for concurrence of the "exceptional events".

An exceptional event due to wildfires in May 2007 affected PM2.5 values at all sites in Indiana.

An exceptional event due to fireworks on July 4, 2007 affected PM2.5 values at three sites in Indiana.
