IDEM’s Fiber Reinforced Plastic Manufacturing Program uses the collaborative efforts from the past in order to set up today’s framework. The Composite Fabricators Association (CFA) (now the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA)) worked with the Office of Air Quality in developing factors for open molding systems. These adjusted factors, along with the revised state rules and the new federal HAP rules, provide the backdrop for making these calculations. The adjusted factors from 2001 are the most updated factors.
