CTAP: Industry Sectors List
The Compliance and Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) continuously provides regulatory assistance for businesses and communities. Emphasis is on small companies with limited environmental staff or expertise. Questions received range from "What type of air permit do I need?, Am I a SQG?, What is the NESHAP? to How do I cleanup spilled gasoline?" In addition to answering questions by telephone, on-site assistance is available throughout the state.
Although CTAP assists all Indiana businesses, it often focuses on specific industry sectors that represent common small businesses found in Indiana. For many of these sectors, compliance assistance manuals, workshops, brochures, publications, and recognition programs have been developed.
CTAP assists all Indiana businesses but provides additional sector-specific information on:
- What should I do with my old computers and electronics?
- Where can I recycle?
- What are “Pay-as-You-Throw” programs?
- How can I get funding for recycling programs?
- What is “household hazardous waste”?
- Why is mercury dangerous?
- What is composting and how do I do it?
- What are the benefits of recycling?
- Where can I find information about available IDEM grants, loans, or funds?
- Where can I find information about flooding?
