Several Indiana Department of Environmental Manager (IDEM) files are now available to the public via the IDEM Virtual File Cabinet on the internet. The programs or files include:

  • correspondence;
  • state revolving fund programs;
  • contracts;
  • drinking water;
  • leaking underground storage tanks (LUST);
  • underground storage tanks (UST);
  • Excess Liability Trust Fund (ELTF);
  • Brownfields; and
  • some landfill files.

The VFC Search features were recently upgraded. Two search mechanisms are now available:

  • facility search
  • document search, such as FID for UST facilities or ULCERs# (site code) for Brownfields

Don't forget that you may use a wildcard when searching by using an asterisk (*) before and/or after the word or phrase that serves as a "like" feature.

All other public files are available from the IDEM File Room from 8:30 am to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays.
