The subject site of this project was originally entered into the program as part of a larger site. In order to facilitate a property transfer, the eastern portion of the original site was separated from the original project and assigned its own project number. This summary applies only to the western portion of the original site, hereafter referred to as the West Parcel. The West Parcel was originally developed in the early 1900s as a foundry. The foundry produced a variety of plumbing products. Other portions of the West Parcel were used at various times by bulk petroleum storage facilities. Samples collected and analyzed from numerous soil borings advanced across different areas of the West Parcel did not reveal any of the selected contaminants at concentrations exceeding non-residential cleanup goals. Likewise, groundwater did not exceed non-residential cleanup goals. As a result, no remedial activity was proposed or carried out on the West Parcel. | |
