ICRC and City of Hammond to host “Community Resource Night” in Hammond
Hammond, IND. – Food, childcare and information on resources will be provided for free Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Dynasty Banquet Hall in Hammond during the Community Resource Night by the Indiana Civil Rights Commission. The event, which lasts from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, will bring local and state resources to the community.
“It is important that we reach every corner of the state in our education and outreach efforts,” said Jamal L. Smith, Executive Director of the ICRC. “We want to ensure that people in the community are aware of what services are available to them.”
Representatives from the following organizations will be on hand to provide information and details about the programs and services they offer:
- Indiana Civil Rights Commission
- The City of Hammond, Indiana
- Hammond Human Relations
- School City of Hammond
- Northwest Indiana Community Action
- Work One
