Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Legacy Projects > DAR Relic Museum – Items in Existence in 1816 DAR Relic Museum – Items in Existence in 1816

Select items that were in existence at the time of Indiana Statehood from the DAR Relic Collection will be on display at the Allen County Public Library from January 7th – March 31st, 2016. Items that viewers of all ages and backgrounds, and who love American history, will enjoy seeing include the key from the Old Fort in Fort Wayne. On display will also be a watch that was carried by a soldier during the Revolutionary War, as well as a candlestick holder used by George Washington in his camp during the war. Each item on display will have a description and the name of the person or family who donated the item to the DAR Relic Collection.
