Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Legacy Projects > “Crossroads of Indiana” Red, White & Blue Quilt Project “Crossroads of Indiana” Red, White & Blue Quilt Project

Volunteers ages 79-95 have been demonstrating quilting at the Rockport Lincoln Pioneer Village Museum during Heritage Days Rendezvous. In 2013 they began a quilt, “Crossroads of Indiana” Red, White & Blue. Sewing only during events, they finished it just in time for the Indiana Bicentennial. The quilt is on display at the Pioneer Village Museum. This beautiful, hand-stitched quilt will display as a Friends of Lincoln Pioneer Village project, Indiana Bicentennial 2016/Spencer County Torch Relay celebration and Civil War Living History Days in the beautiful and historic Spencer County courthouse on September 9-10 in Rockport.
