Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016
Legacy Projects > Allen County-Indiana Bicentennial Park Benches Allen County-Indiana Bicentennial Park Benches
Nineteen Fort Wayne parks will each receive a Bicentennial Bench with the shape of Indiana laser cut out of the back and the words “Bicentennial 1816-2016.” These 19 benches for the 19th state are lasting, utilitarian, and have an educational component. The benches, which will be fastened to concrete slabs, have a life span of more than 20 years and will be installed in fall 2016 prior to Statehood Day. Donors have funded the project.
