The exhibit “Hoosiers Making Miniatures” will celebrate the dozens of Indiana-based artisans who have contributed greatly to the artistry of scale miniatures. Most of them were members of National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts, headquartered in Carmel, Indiana. Some of them were designated artisans or fellows of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans, such as artisans Kathy Babcock and Jane Graber, and fellows Jan Yinger, Gary Elmer, Jim Ison and JoAnn Andriella. The museum is one of only five in the country devoted to the art of scale miniatures and takes this opportunity of the Bicentennial to showcase Indiana Professional miniaturists. On display will be furniture, hand-painted porcelain dinnerware, silk embroidery, and more.
