Legacy Projects > Indiana State Hand Corn Husking Contest Indiana State Hand Corn Husking Contest

Corn husking is the oldest method of harvesting corn. This contest is open to all who enjoy old-fashioned corn husking the way our ancestors did it. The contests are open to both men and women of various age groups, from youth to golden agers, novice, handicap and team husking. Participants in the timed contest husk corn from one row, throwing the ears into a horse-drawn wagon.
