Legacy Projects > Beck's Mill Bicentennial Celebration Beck's Mill Bicentennial Celebration

The two-day, Beck’s Mill Festival will be held in conjunction with the Old Settler’s Day Festival on September 17th and 18th, 2016, with free provided transportation between the two events. During the celebration weekend, Beck’s Mill will feature: a cornmeal bake-off, a 5K & 10K run/walk (The Grind), live demonstrations, re-enactors and music. First established in 1808, Beck’s Mill held a significant role in the early settling of the southern Indiana territory and continued in operation until the 1950’s. Three members of the original Beck pioneer family were veterans of the Battle of Tippecanoe and the War of 1812. These members will be represented at the festival through stories and re-enactors.
