Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Amber Alert
Amber Alert - TEST

Legacy Projects > The Incredible Indiana History Map The Incredible Indiana History Map

To celebrate Indiana’s Bicentennial, students at Central Middle School will be creating a basketball court sized map of Indiana. Each student will create a proportional map of each county. Then the maps will be pieced together like a giant jigsaw to create a gigantic map of the state. The students will also be creating a research project about the wonderful people, culture and historical events in that county. One the closest school day to the Bicentennial, parents and elementary students will be invited to come and see the map and ask the students questions about the counties. This will allow the students to see that even though we are many counties, we are all one state with a rich, shared history.
