Every year during the Alexandria Grand Prix, we have “celebrity races” with rental go-karts. In the past we have had local community leaders that have participated along with local families that raised money for organizations like the American Cancer Association. We will hold a ceremonial Indiana Bicentennial go-kart race during the 2016 Alexandria Grand Prix (on Sat 8/20/16). We would like to invite participants for this “celebrity” race to honor not only the Indiana Bicentennial, but to honor the racing heritage of Alexandria. We would like to invite members from the Indiana Bicentennial Committee and other State officials to participate in the 5 car/5 Lap ceremonial race.
