Legacy Projects > First Baptist Church of Amo 150th Anniversary Celebration First Baptist Church of Amo 150th Anniversary Celebration

First Baptist Church of Amo’s 150 Years in Ministry Celebration is in essence a reflection of our beautiful state’s fundamental values. 150 years is something to celebrate in a grand way. The church will hold a three-day celebration with games, music and more. Former pastors will bring words of encouragement to the community. The history walk will feature the Vandalia Trail, Interurban Station, Community Building, local school, fire department, police department and the post office which was once a bank, the last bank the Dillinger Gang robbed. The goal of the celebration is to create a legacy for the future while celebrating the past 150 years and engage and inspire youth and young adults.
