Legacy Projects > Burlington Veterans Memorial Burlington Veterans Memorial

The Veterans Memorial includes laser etched black granite stones to memorialize those who have served their nation in the military – past, present and future. It highlights each of the major military branches with illustrations of uniformed members of the service. Two smaller stones contain the symbols of three branches – Army, Navy and Marines on one and Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard on the other. The larger stones contain a message to all veterans thanking them for their service. Three lighted flagpoles hold the U.S., Indiana and POW flags. Stone benches are placed on a concrete walkway which surrounds the memorial. The memorial site is visible from State Road 22 near the entrance to Burlington Park.
