Amber Alert - TEST

Legacy Projects > Memorial Day Ceremony, Parade and Festival Memorial Day Ceremony, Parade and Festival

The New Castle Henry County Chamber of Commerce will once again host several activities on Memorial Day 2016. The day’s events will begin on the historic courthouse lawn with a ceremony to salute our local veterans and to celebrate the Indiana Bicentennial. The local VFW and American Legion will assist with the ceremony and special guests will include the Mayor of New Castle, Henry County Commissioners, Indiana State Representatives and Senators. Each will give brief remarks. Immediately following the ceremony, the 100+ unit parade will kick off from the corner of SR 38 and 15th St. Young and old alike come to watch the parade as it winds through New Castle and ends at the Baker Park area where the chamber will hold their fourth annual festival including food, vendors and family fun activities. The festival happens in conjunction with the Little League Opening Day celebration. Memorial Day 2016 promises to be a great day of celebration of our veterans and our Indiana Bicentennial.
