Oftentimes the history of an area is overlooked. Due to the tireless efforts of the Steuben County Historical Society, the history of the area has been preserved in a format for future generations to enjoy. Once an abolitionist stronghold, Steuben County functions as the northeast gateway to the great state of Indiana. Scenic byways lead to fascinating glimpses into the past of the county on this self-guided county-wide tour.
