Legacy Projects > Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health Oral History Project Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health Oral History Project

The RHPC will launch the Riley Stories: The Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health Oral History Project (Riley Stories Project) in Indiana’s Bicentennial year. The Riley Stories Project will capture the memories, stories and perspectives of individuals connected to the history of Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. It is important to start preserving these oral histories as Riley Hospital nears its own centennial in 2024. In addition, we believe it’s appropriate that we start the initiative during Indiana’s bicentennial year since the development of Riley Hospital impacted the history of the entire Hoosier State. This project will conduct at least two to three oral history interviews per year, which will result in a large collection of oral histories that will help future generations understand the importance of Riley Hospital and its legacy in Indiana.
