Legacy Projects > A Year of Hoosier Playwrights A Year of Hoosier Playwrights

Main Street Productions/Westfield Playhouse is a not for profit amateur theatre. The organization is a long standing community theatre group. The theater presents a variety of six shows between February and December. It supports tourism in the city of Westfield. The plays that will be performed as a link to Indiana’s Bicentennial are “Voices of the Past” and “Westfield in Lights”. An original production being written by local playwrights and song writers, “Follow the Drinking Gourd”, based on the Underground Railroad that helped African Americans gain freedom from slavery. Audiences will see the performances at the new Grand Junction Park in Westfield for the 2016 celebration. In 2015-16 all shows will be by old Hoosier playwrights.
