Indiana Civil Rights History
Indiana’s contribution to the Civil Rights era is a largely untold story. The State Archives has worked with Indiana native Dr. Thomas Brown to capture part of the Civil Rights struggle and his contributions in the southern United States. His father, Andrew J. Brown, was also a central figure in Indiana for Civil Rights. The State Archives is conducting a series of interviews with Dr. Thomas Brown recalling his work in the South and his family's contributions to the Civil Rights effort in Indiana.
