30th Annual Meeting

February 27th, 2010

Hosted by Anderson University

Local, National, Global: Studying History in the 21st Century

The Indiana Association of Historians invites papers and panel proposals for its annual meeting to be held February 27th, 2010, and hosted by Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana.

The Program Committee is particularly interested in proposals that examine the connections between different levels of history, from local to national and national to global.  The committee will consider papers and sessions on all topics, and welcomes submissions in the fields of public history and K-12 history education as well.  The IAH would also like to encourage historians with books published in the last two years to present their research in a panel format.  Graduate students are encouraged to participate.

Conference papers (approximately 10 pages/2,500 words) may be based upon original research, synthesis of scholarship, or participant experience.  Sessions will consist of two or three papers with comments.

To submit a proposal for a paper and/or session, send a one-page proposal for each presentation and a one-page c.v.  Panel proposals should include a one-page proposal, which specifies the topic of discussion by each participant and a one-page c.v. per participant.

Email submissions (as Word document files) are encouraged and will be accepted until the deadline.
