The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute is seeking applications for the sub-grantee component of the state portion from the formula-based allocation of the Edward Byrne Memorial JAG State Program.

State JAG program will solicit applications from eligible local law enforcement agencies, for various initiatives, including, but not limited to, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for criminal justice, as well as research and evaluation activities that will improve or enhance:

  • Law enforcement programs
  • Prosecution and court programs
  • Prevention and education programs
  • Corrections and community corrections programs
  • Drug treatment and enforcement programs
  • Planning, evaluation, and technology improvement programs
  • Crime victim and witness programs (other than compensation).

Eligible Applicants:

The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute must use 59.29% of its state portion of $21,673,244 for further sub-grants to local law enforcement agencies. When available, information on how to apply for these sub-grants will be posted at www.in.gov/cji.
