Governor's Advisory Council (GAC)
Chaired by: Matt Strittmatter, Wayne County Sherriff
The SPF SIG Governors Advisory Council (GAC) established in early 2006 met on a bimonthly basis, until late 2009 when it moved to a quarter meeting schedule for the remainder of the grant period. The appointments to the Adivsory Council were made by the Office of the Gorvernor. The SPF SIG GAC consists of 43 members representing all core agencies of the state, Indiana State Police, Criminal Justice Institute, Division of Mental Health and Addiction, Department of Education and the Indiana Department of Health.

The GAC established an Exceutive Committee which met bimonthly on the alternate months from the GAC schedule. The Executive Committee sets the agenda for GAC meetings. Additionally, the Executive Committee estabished a charge for three additional workgroups to oversee the core grant areas of Training and Outreach, Evaluation and Culutral Competency.

The Training and Outreach Workgroup considers outreach and training issues related to the implementation of the SPF/SIG project and develop strategies to facilitate communication about the project to internal and external audiences.
Evaluation Workgroup
Chaired by: Robert Levy, Professor (Retired) Indiana State University
The Evaluation Workgroup considers issues related to implementation of SPF/SIG project and the promotion of mental health strategies. This workgroup also serves as the advisory committee to the evaluation contractor reviewing implementation of the SPF/SIG.
Cultural Competency Workgroup

The Cultural Competency Workgroup considers issues related to the implementation of Cultural Competency into all aspects of the SPF SIG project, providing a comprehensive sensitivity to cultural differences
