Indiana Programs

  • First Steps
    Indiana's First Steps System provides early intervention for families which have infants and toddlers with developmental delays or who show signs of being at-risk to have certain delays in the future. Indiana's First Steps is a family-centered, coordinated system to serve children from birth to age 3 who have disabilities and/or who are developmentally vulnerable.
  • Head Start
    Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive child development programs which serve children from birth to age 5, pregnant women, and their families. They are child-focused programs and have the overall goal of increasing the school readiness of young children in low-income families.
  • Medicaid Select
    Medicaid Select is a health insurance program for Medicaid-eligible Hoosiers who are blind, aged and disabled. The enrolled members choose a Primary Medical Physician (PMP) to get regular checkups and health care. Other health care needs such as prescriptions, dental care, vision care and mental health services are also available as part of the Medicaid Select program.
