"Indiana is entering a building boom. It's a unique chance for young people, and especially minority youngsters, to get a good-paying job and a strong start in life. We're going to experience record opportunities, so we want everyone to know about these jobs and that the state can help them get the skills needed to obtain one."

Major Opportunities provides 100 hours of classroom training of pre-apprenticeship and on-the-job training to Indiana minority residents seeking a career in the building and construction industry, at no cost to the participant. The program is currently offered in Indianapolis, Gary, South Bend, Fort Wayne and Evansville. For additional information on the Major Opportunities program, please contact the Department of Workforce Development, 800-465-4616 or visit the DWD website: www.in.gov/dwd. This is an equal opportunity program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to people with disabilities.
