To find a testing center near you, use the Testing Center Locator and type in your zip code. Most testing centers offer Paper Pencil Testing (PPT). See the GED PPT Testing Fact Sheet for more information on the paper pencil version.
Additionally, Indiana offers you the opportunity to take the test by computer. For more information see the: GED CBT Testing Fact Sheet.
Email AdultEdGED@dwd.in.gov if you have questions about either version of the test or locating a testing center.
GED Testing Accommodations Request Forms
Indiana uses pilot accommodations request forms that are different from those posted to the GEDTS website. Complete and submit one of the forms below to your registered test site. See directions on the GEDTS Accommodations Website.
Anyone seeking a duplicate GED transcript (score report) or duplicate GED Diploma (now a GED Certificate of Achievement), must do so using the state’s GED document fulfillment service: Diploma Sender.
To access Diploma Sender go to www.diplomasender.com. You will need a credit or debit card to complete your online order.
This is the only method now available for obtaining duplicate GED records.
Additionally, test takers have the option of ordering GED verifications and duplicate GED transcripts/diplomas that can be sent to employment verification firms and postsecondary institutions directly for electronic viewing. Individuals will need a valid e-mail address for the verification firm or postsecondary institution. Turn-around time is reduced significantly with most requests being fulfilled within 24 hours to 3 days.
Adult students who need the End-of-Course Assessments (ECAs) in Algebra I and/or English 10 for graduation can now take them at an Adult Education Site. The assessments will be offered the last week of April (April 29th-May 1st.) Find a ECA Testing Location near you. Interested test takers will need to contact the site prior to testing day. Walk-in testers may not be admitted.
If a site is not listed in your county please contact the site closest to you. All Adult Education sites will serve Adult test takers. No additional testing sites are available through the Department of Workforce Development at this time. If you have additional questions or concerns please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
