Department of Workforce Literacy
The Department of Workforce Literacy is dedicated to strengthening the skills of Indiana's workforce and to increasing the competitive edge of Indiana employers.
Our efforts to promote workplace literacy are reflected in the 21st Century Workplace Skills Initiative. This effort will focus on providing funds for demonstration programs that aggressively tackle this issue. DWD will fund pilot programs that can reach out to employers with concrete strategies to improve their workers’ workforce basic skills. Our mission is to provide employers and their partners with support and resources to create effective and innovative workplace education models.
