Letter from the Commissioner
Dear Customer,
I would like to welcome you to the website for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development (IDWD). We are the agency that administers Indiana’s employment and training programs and unemployment insurance system. In serving our various customers and operating over a dozen distinct programs, we at IDWD are focused on three overarching priorities:
- Grow Hoosier jobs and employment
- Grow Hoosier personal income
- Deliver premier customer service
Ours is a special mission, and we are fully committed to ensuring every Hoosier has access to the education and training programs that will give them the knowledge, experience and confidence to build better careers, lives and communities. We are equally committed to ensuring our state’s employers have access to the world’s premier workforce and innovative programs.
We have much work ahead of us, but I am confident that together with a combination of innovative ideas, hard work and tremendous energy, we will be the cornerstone of Indiana’s comeback as we set our sights and aim higher!
