ALERT: Indiana DOR Joins IRS in Extending Tax Season

April 18, 2018

The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) is joining the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in providing taxpayers an additional day to file and pay their taxes following system issues early on the April 17 tax deadline. Individuals and businesses with a filing or payment due date of April 17 will now have until midnight on Wednesday, April 18 to file electronically. Taxpayers do not need to do anything to receive this extra time.

The Deadline is Near: Only One Day Left to File Your 2018 Taxes

The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) reminds taxpayers the tax filing deadline for 2018 is tomorrow, Tuesday, April 17. There is still time for taxpayers to file both electronically and through paper forms.

Paper forms require a postmarked date of no later than Tuesday, April 17, 2018 to be considered timely. Electronic filing can be submitted online any time before April 18.
