Are you confused about a tax bill you recently received in the mail? An Indiana Department of Revenue representative can help, and we may be closer than you think. If you would prefer to discuss your tax bill in person, consider visiting one of the department’s twelve district offices located across Indiana.

District offices are located in:

  • Bloomington
  • Clarksville
  • Columbus
  • Evansville
  • Fort Wayne
  • Kokomo
  • Indianapolis
  • Lafayette
  • Merrillville
  • Muncie
  • South Bend
  • Terre Haute

A complete list of district office contact information can be found here. All offices are open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday.
District offices can:

  • Review and explain your tax billing(s)
  • Take your payments (cash, checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover are accepted)
  • Help you make payment arrangements
  • Answer your individual and/or business tax questions
  • Submit your completed state tax return(s) (paper filing only)
  • Help you correct or adjust your processed tax return
