Resources for New and Small Businesses
March 23, 2015
Running a successful new or small business is both a dream for many people and a challenge for all. Oftentimes, understanding taxes can be one of the biggest challenges for new and small business owners.
When new and small Hoosier businesses have difficulty with taxes, it is due to not understanding Indiana regulations regarding filing and paying taxes.
The New and Small Business Education Center is designed to help business owners better understand state laws, the tax-filing process, and what services are available to help you as your business grows.
Whether you are a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, nonprofit, or you’re not sure, the Indiana Department of Revenue’s New and Small Business Education Center can help your business get started on the right path.
The department also offers free business tax presentations to Hoosier organizations and the public. The presentations discuss pertinent tax information for new and small businesses, and attendees have the opportunity to have questions answered by an experienced department representative.
