Where's My Refund?
Feb. 9, 2015 - TaxTalk Blog
This time of year, many Hoosier taxpayers anxiously await their tax refunds.
The quickest way to get your state tax refund is to file your taxes electronically and have your refund deposited directly to your checking or savings account. For those who file electronically, most refunds are issued in 10 to 14 days. However, if you mail in your state tax return, you could wait up to 12 weeks for your refund to be issued.
The Department of Revenue allows you to check the status of your refund online at www.in.gov/dor/4339.htm. To check your refund status, you will need your Social Security number and the exact amount of your refund. You also may call the automated refund line at 317-233-4018. This service is available 24/7. To speak to a representative, call 317-233-2240 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Visit the Tax Video Library at www.in.gov/dor/4684.htm for more refund and tax season information.
