A New Publication Just for Businesses
July 8, 2013 – TaxTalk Blog
Business owners usually create businesses that operate in their field of expertise. A mechanic opens an auto shop, and a lawyer opens up a law firm. Unfortunately, in addition to the work that they prefer to do, business owners must also do the not-so-fun work – business taxes.
The Indiana Department of Revenue knows this, so we’ve made a new publication to make filing your Indiana business taxes easier. The department has created a publication just for businesses called BizTax. This new publication was designed to help Indiana’s businesses better understand Indiana taxes, so you can spend more of your time doing the work you want to be doing.
BizTax, published quarterly, features articles discussing business taxes, special taxes, legislative changes, tax deadlines, the best way to stay connected with the department, and more.
If you own a business in Indiana, you’ll definitely want to check this out—especially if filing business taxes aren’t your forte. Even if you’re not a business owner, the information in BizTax may still be helpful to you.
You can read the debut issue at www.in.gov/dor/4849.htm. There, you can also subscribe to receive future editions of BizTax.
The debut issue includes information about:
- the difference between business sales tax and use tax
- reminders of important business tax deadlines
- an explanation of the e-mandate effective this year
If you have any particular questions about filing your state business taxes, you can call the department at (317) 233-4015 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like to submit a question or topic suggestions, please send them to email@example.com
