Indiana Department of Revenue (IDOR) Fill-in Forms use the features provided with the latest version of Adobe Acrobat. Currently, there is no computation, validation or verification of the information you enter and you are still responsible for entering all required information. There may be instructions that require information to be handwritten on the form.

Software Requirements

To view, complete and print IDOR fill-in forms you will need the latest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader, available free on Adobe's web site, installed on your computer. Acrobat Reader does not allow you to save your completed forms to disk. The ability to save completed forms is available commercially with the Adobe Acrobat product suite.

Important: Use your mouse to select an area of the form that is not inside a form field before printing your form. If a form field is active (contains the blinking bar) the contents will not print.

Completing the Form

Note: Check the File Type column in the forms list. Only those forms where the file type is listed as fill-in pdf are available in fill-in format. Our Individual Income Tax forms are not available in fill-in pdf format because our I-File system gives you the option of filling in the form, printing it and mailing it in or filing it electronically.

Double click on the link to the form. This should automatically open the file within your web browser. Alternately, you can save the file directly to disk by right mouse clicking on the link to the file and selecting "Save Target As".

If you saved the file to disk, use Acrobat to open the file.

Position the hand pointer inside a form field and click. The I-beam pointer allows you to type text. The arrow pointer allows you to select a field, a check box, a radio button, or an item from a list.

Press Tab to accept the field change and go to the next field.

Use your mouse to select an area of the form that is not inside a form field before printing your form. Important: If a form field is active (contains the blinking bar) the contents will not print.

If the fill-in form is displayed within your web browser window, be sure to use the printer button on the Acrobat toolbar menu to print the form instead of your web browsers print function.

Fields highlighted in yellow are mandatory information for processing your form/application. Please make sure these boxes are complete prior to submission to the Department.
