The Quality, Metrics and Statistics division is responsible for collecting injury, illness and fatality data. The data is collected through three federal surveys: the Survey of Occupational Injuries & Illnesses (SOII) the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI) and the OSHA Data Initiative (ODI). The division also collects internal data to measure the agency's performance against established targets.
A summary of statewide occupational fatality, injury & illness data as well as agency data is published annually: IN Review 2008.
