Indiana Emergency Response Plan
The State of Indiana's Bureau of Mines equips and trains two Mine Rescue Teams. These teams compete in simulated mine disaster scenarios each year throughout Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois to sharpen their skills and teamwork should they ever be called on to do rescue and recovery work in any of the state's six mines or surrounding areas.
