Performance Management

The Quality Division of the Indiana Department of Labor is tasked with reporting on and assisting performance management as it relates to Department Management, the Indiana Office of Management and Budget, and the Governor.    

By ensuring that outcomes are measured reasonably and consistently, inputs and valuable state resources will be used efficiently and effectively to advance the health, safety and prosperity of all Hoosiers in the workplace.  Current data on department performance is produced within 30 days of each calendar year quarter here.

                    

Nonfatal & Fatal Occuational Injuries & Illnesses:

Annually, the State of Indiana performs a survey of occupational injuries and illnesses in the state in conjunction with the Bureau of Labor Statistics as a broad measure of safety in Hoosier workplaces.  Several layers of data culled nationally are available online for free with the Bureau of Labor Statistics here.

Data on all workplace fatalities in the state is also collected annually through a census of fatal occupational injuries and illnesses with national data on workplace fatalities also available with the Bureau of Labor Statistics here.
