Bicycling Opportunities in Indiana

Indiana is great place to be a bicyclist. There is nearly every type of riding within this state. From long, straight, flat roads in the North, to the hilly, twisting back roads of the South, Indiana has the kind of roads you are looking for. If you are looking for something quieter, there are paved greenways and trails, and for those who want to get off the beaten path and be totally immersed in nature, our mountain bike trails are for you.

This website is a portal to other sites with more information. We don't have or distribute the maps or brochures listed here and there are no maps on this site. The maps you need are just a few clicks or a phone call away.

Bike routes
Bike routes on public roads.
A few are marked with signs, but most are just maps showing the best street routes to ride

Bike trails
These are paved or hard pack crushed stone trails designed as multiuse trails. Expect to share the trails with a number of other users including, pedestrians, rollerbladers, etc.
Many are rail-trails and all are free of motorized traffic.

Mountain bike trails
Off-road dirt paths is what you will find here.
All of these trails are shared with hikers and some are shared with horseback riders.

This page will be updated with more information. Look for club and organization information soon.
If you would like your club listed, email the webmaster below. If your favorite trail is missing, the owner of the trail should contact the Divsion of Outdoor Recreation and we will add it to our Trail Inventory.
