• Salamonie Senior's Fall Fest each September
• Horse campgrounds - campsites provide grill, picnic table, hitching rail, manure bin, and primitive toilet facilities. No horse rentals. Horse trails and day-use parking areas.
• Youth group campground with 7 different reservable camping areas. Some areas have lake frontage. It includes a lighted pit toilet, year-round drinking water, shelter house, fire rings, picnic tables and volleyball and basketball court.
• Picnicking with reservable shelters
• Cross-country ski trails
• Multi-use snowmobile trails extending along the south side of the reservoir approximately 42 miles.
• Hiking - Short interpretive trails in Lost Bridge west, 10 mile Lakeview - Boundary Hiking Trail Lost Bridge East to Mt. Etna State Recreation Area, hiking along multiple-use horse, snowmobile trail through much of property.
• Privately operated Pirate's Cove Marina with equipment rentals
• Playgrounds available at Class A and Class C campgrounds in Lost Bridge West.
• Modern campground, 246 Class A sites (electric hookups, showers, flush toilets, dumping station). Sites have picnic table, adjustable grill, gravel parking pads.
• Campsite by reservation May-October. November-April campsites by self-registration.
• Overnight boat mooring near modern campground, some lakeview sites.
• Beach available when reservoir is at summer pool from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Open from dawn to dusk. Beach attendant on duty from 11a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Showers, restrooms, private concession stand.
• Swimmers must stay within marked area. No lifeguards are available.
• Fishing pier, volleyball court, basketball court, boat landing area, and picnic grounds are also available in the beach area. No alcohol is allowed in this area.
• Five different recreation areas with boat ramps, flush toilets, picnic areas
• Fish cleaning station, lighted, screened, running water with a grinder, located at boat ramp parking lot in Lost Bridge West.
• Property ponds provide fishing opportunities year round, hunting in designated areas
• Interpretive/ recreational programs, Interpretive Center open year-round.
• Salamonie River State Forest at west end of property provides, hiking, camping, horse camping and trails, fishing, hunting, and historic Civilian Conservation Corps site.

Otters were reintroduced on  the Salamonie River in 1998.
