There is still time for geocaching enthusiasts to compete for prizes in our “Fall Into Geocaching” contest, which runs through Dec. 31.
Participants are challenged to find a unique cache at the 22 participating properties. Coordinates and clues can be found online at www.interpretiveservices.IN.gov.
After finding the cache and signing into the logbook, competitors will find a word describing something unique about that property. When they’ve found 10 of the 22 caches, participants will e-mail those property names and corresponding words to the contest coordinator, whose contact information is found on the Web site.
An avid geocacher found 10 of the 22 caches within the first weekend and was awarded the gift certificate. The other prizes, however, will still be awarded at the end of the contest in a drawing for the other participants who have located at least 10 of the 22 caches.
All participants who have found and reported at least one cache will be entered in drawings for 100 “Fall Into Geocaching” T-shirts donated by state park inns.
