Vicki Basman is the new chief of interpretation for the DNR Division of State Parks and Reservoirs. Vicki replaces Ginger Murphy, who served in the position for the past nine years.

Vicki comes to the job with a B.S. in natural resources from Purdue and an M.S. in park and recreation administration from IU. She has worked for the DNR as a seasonal naturalist and as a historic preservation specialist, and she has written several articles for Outdoor Indiana. She will coordinate training for all of our seasonal interpreters, assist full-time interpreters with resources and facilities, and coordinate exhibit development and event planning for the division.

Mike Grismer is the new assistant property manager at Cagles Mill Lake. He comes from Indiana Dunes State Park, where he worked as a laborer for eight years.
