19 special places
every Hoosier should visit

Where are your favorite places in Indiana to camp, hike, fish, boat, hunt, view wildlife, paddle a canoe, picnic, cross-country snow ski or generally escape city life?

And what makes these places special to you and your family?

We posed these questions to some pretty knowledgeable people on the subject -- DNR employees. They came back with a pretty long list reflecting a variety of activities and locations that we pared down for this edition of Outdoor Indiana.

Don't equate this with a top 10 list or any ranking of Indiana's best outdoor destinations. Think of this issue as a guide to 19 special places every Hoosier should visit.

The list below links you directly to four of our featured special places.
