DESCRIPTION

Covered Bridge Retreat is an ideal group escape destination located eight miles north of Rockville, Indiana, in Parke County. This 300-acre vacation/retreat property is an outdoorsman’s paradise. It features 300 beautiful acres, 4.5 miles of well-marked woodland trails, a one-acre fishing pond close to the main lodge’s doorstep, equestrian facilities, wildlife viewing and a groomed campground. Access to this property is by reservation only. No motorized vehicles are allowed on trails. No pets or smoking within buildings.

The main lodge’s large wraparound deck overlooks acres of natural beauty, a great cure for escaping hustle and bustle. Watch for deer or wild turkey as you explore 10 acres of well-kept grounds and surrounding woodlands by hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding.

Main Lodge: Three bedrooms, 2.5 baths (sleeps 3-6). The newly updated main lodge boasts every convenience. The open floorplan features a large kitchen, adjoining great room with fireplace, and 20-foot tall windows. Upstairs, the open loft, layout and furnishings offer a lodge-like ambience. Downstairs, the master bedroom opens to an expansive deck and view of the woods. The lower-level recreation room features comfy rustic hickory furniture.

Group camp: Includes 21 campsites, use of main stables and indoor and outdoor arena, and access to trails, comfort station and picnic shelter. All electric campsites include a horse hitching rail.

Equestrian facility: Includes the main barn with more than 30 horse stalls, indoor arena and horse washing station. Bring your own feed and watering bucket. You'll also find a 75 foot x 100 foot outdoor arena.

Trails: Three well marked recreation trails traverse 300 acres of forest, streams and wood ravines. Great for hiking, horse riding or mountain biking. The trail lengths are 0.6, 1.7, and 1.8 miles in length. No motorized vehicles allowed on trails.

RATES AND RESERVATIONS

Full Retreat Package: (sleeps 45) For large groups and organizations, includes main lodge, campground, comfort station, picnic shelter, horse stables, indoor and outdoor arenas, and access to fishing pond and trails.

• $2,000/week +tax (six nights)
• $400/night +tax (four-night minimum)

Main Lodge Package (sleeps 6): For small retreats or family gatherings. Three Bedrooms: 1 king, 2 queens. Includes main lodge (with bedding, linens and starter set of paper products), pond and trail access and up to six stalls in the main stables. Six-horse limit. No pets. No smoking. $1,300/week +tax (6 nights) $250/night +tax (4-night minimum)

Campground/Equestrian Package (21 camping sites): This camper and horseman’s dream includes 21 campsites; use of main stables and indoor and outdoor arena; and access to trails, comfort station and picnic shelter; Limits: two camping units/site; three horses/site or 63 horses total; $1,200/week +tax (six nights) $300/night +tax (four-night minimum)

Rental periods: Weekly rentals are Friday 2 p.m. to Thursday 10 a.m. Four-night minimum stay for arrival on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Guest orientation 2-3 p.m. Friday or by appointment.

• Check in after 2 p.m. first day of rental. Check out by 10 a.m. last day of rental.
• Firewood must be bark-free or certified.
• $250 refundable damage deposit, required at time of booking

Payment: Payment by credit card or check. Half payment plus damage deposit is due at time of booking. Full payment is due within 90 days of arrival.
