  • Updated reports on 2012 oil and gas activity in Indiana are now available from the Division of Oil and Gas. Included is information on permitting and well completion activity for 2012 as well as oil and gas production information. New statistics regarding hydraulic fracturing activity have also been posted. Click here to view the 2012 oil and gas activity reports.
  • New brochure available to provide Indiana landowners with information on the potential hazards of methane in water wells. The brochure was developed jointly by the Department of Natural Resources, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, and the Indiana State Board of Health.   • New temporary rules requiring the reporting of hydraulic fracturing additive information for all wells under the Oil and Gas Act become will become effective July 1, 2012. Click here to view these rules.
